AIRPORT SHOP OFFERS UNIQUE BOOK DEAL FOR TRAVELERS

Albany, NY (June 17, 2004) - - - Albany International Airport's Capital News and Gift shop has introduced a unique program to significantly reduce the cost of best-selling books for Capital Region travelers. Capital News and Gift's Read & Return program allows travelers to purchase hardcover, best-selling books and receive a refund of half of the purchase price when they return the book either to the Capital News and Gift store at Albany International Airport or to another participating store in airports across the United States.

The Read and Return program was created by the Paradies Shops, a national airport retailer headquartered in Atlanta Georgia.

"The idea that you can purchase a book in Albany and return it when you get off a plane in Detroit, Phoenix, or back in Albany is growing in popularity," said Stacy Fitch, manager of the Paradies, the operator of Capital News and Gift shop. "We believe we are providing a unique and innovative service to Albany travelers."

For example, a best seller like The South Beach Diet can be purchased for the normal selling price of $24.95 at Capital News and Books and then returned for a refund of $12.48. The book must be returned to any of the participating stores with the receipt within six months of the purchase date to receive a 50% refund of the purchase price.

The Airport's Capital News and Gift shop also offers travelers the opportunity to purchase "previously read" books for half the original sale price. For instance, a "previously read" book such as The DaVinci Code which originally sold for $24.95 can be purchased at Capital News for just $12.48. All "previously read" books are all in good condition.

Books purchased at Capital News and Gifts at the Albany International Airport can be returned for a half-price refund at participating stores including all Heritage Booksellers in the Columbia, S.C./Dayton International Airport, Detroit-Metro-Midfield Terminal, Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, Knoxville-McGhee Tyson Airport, Louisville International Airport, Nashville International Airport, Port Columbus International Airport, T.F. Green/Providence Airport and the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. Also participating in the program are select book retailers in the Detroit, Phoenix, Jacksonville, LaGuardia, Palm Beach, and Memphis/Shelby airports.
