FOREIGN CURRENCY EXCHANGE

07/02/2008

Albany, NY (July 2, 2008) - - - The Albany County Airport Authority, Federal Aviation Administration and the Transportation Security Administration are reminding travelers that fireworks of any type are not permitted on aircraft.

Fireworks are not permitted in checked luggage or carryon luggage due to the risk
of fire or explosion.

The Federal Aviation Administration warns that friction can cause fireworks to
ignite during flight, posing a safety risk to passengers and crew. Because of this
danger, domestic and international regulations prohibit passengers from carrying
fireworks and firework novelty items in their checked or carry-on baggage, or on
their persons.

Passengers carrying fireworks on aircraft are subject to civil penalties that can
range from $275 to $50,000 per violation according to the FAA.  Criminal prosecutions
can result in fines of up to $250,000 for individuals and $500,000 for corporations.
