ALBANY, NY (JANUARY 25, 2026) — As of late Sunday morning, the majority of Albany International Airport’s (ALB) remaining arriving and departing flights scheduled for today have been cancelled as a result of the widespread impacts of this winter storm across the region and much of the country.
Many of today’s cancellations occurred prior to the onset of snowfall in the Capital Region, particularly involving flights to and from areas that experienced severe weather earlier in the storm’s progression. Ongoing airline operations continue to be affected by conditions across the Midwest and East Coast.
Passengers booked on any flight that is still scheduled to arrive or depart today are strongly advised to closely monitor their flight status directly with their airline or by visiting albanyairport.com/flights, which provides real-time flight information.
Travelers planning to come to the airport should exercise extreme caution and allow significant additional time. Airport crews remain fully mobilized and are continuing snow-removal operations throughout the storm to keep roadways, runways, taxiways, sidewalks, and parking areas as clear and safe as possible.
Looking ahead, a substantial number of Monday’s flights are also expected to be affected, with many — particularly morning departures — already cancelled. Travelers scheduled to fly on Monday should follow the same guidance.
ALB will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide additional updates as warranted.
