  • Check in online or through your airline's app.
  • Have your proper documentation and boarding pass ready.Familiarize yourself with what items are prohibited at the Transportation Security Administration - TSA checkpoint. Learn more at www.tsa.gov.

Pick-Up/Drop Off

Lanes in front of the terminal have been reduced and it's important to remember that curbside parking is NEVER permitted!

  • Use the cell phone/observation lot on Albany Shaker Road to wait for arriving passengers.
  • Once they're curbside, you may drive to the front of the terminal and quickly pick them up.
  • Use the short term parking lot for picking up and dropping off passengers.
  • Passengers should also consider alternate transportation such as Uber and Lyft which can be accessed in designated locations outside of the terminal.

Project Updates

Construction in front of the terminal has required lane closures. Construction equipment and other activity should be expected when arriving or departing from ALB. Please give yourself extra time when traveling and arrive at the airport no less than TWO HOURS prior to scheduled departure. Please also follow signage and directions from security personnel or law enforcement when navigating around the construction.

  • Scaffolding has been erected inside the terminal near ticketing counters as part of construction activities. If you're checking bags or speaking with airline personnel, continue to use designated lines and instructions from personnel.
  • PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE CLOSED - Please note that access to and from north parking garage via the pedestrian bridge is now closed. Those parking in the parking garage will need to access the terminal from the first floor and cross the street near car rental and baggage claim. Signage has been placed throughout the terminal to direct passengers to the appropriate stairwells and elevator. Passengers leaving the terminal wishing to access the north garage should follow designated signage and enter from the crosswalk near baggage claim. From this location, passengers will enter the same stairwell and elevators mentioned above.
  • The queing platform constructed near TSA is now open. The queing platform is intended for passengers who are lining up to enter the TSA security checkpoint.
  • Temporary walls required for construction activities will soon begin to be errected at the already closed pedestrian bridge and other areas throughout the terminal. More info to follow.
  •  Passengers can expect to see temporary walls beginning to be erected today inside the terminal. The first of the temporary walls will be constructed near the entrance to the already closed pedestrian bridge where the old Dunkin and Deli were once located. Shortly after, other temporary walls will be erected on both the lower and upper levels of the terminal.
  • Sections of the sidewalk in front of the terminal remain closed for contstruction activities. Fencing has been erected in these areas and certain vestibules remain closed. Please continue to follow signage around these closures.
  • The ALB Information Desk has been moved. It is now directly across from carousel #2 in baggage claim and directly adjacent to Dunkin.
  • Driving lanes in front of the main terminal will shift as the construction work progresses. Motorists should continue to follow signage and security personnel. Pick-up and drop-off curbside is still permitted. Shuttle pick-up is now located curbside near the exit by baggage claim.
  • The curbside canopy is in the process of being painted and cleaned. There should not be any disruption to pedestrian movement or vehicle traffic.
  • Improvements have been made to driving lanes in front of the main terminal. A third driving lane has been created in front of passenger pick-up and drop-off near airline ticketing. ALL THRU TRAFFIC SHOULD USE LEFT LANE.
  • The former commerical lane across from the baggage claim exit is now open for shuttles. All passengers who need the E-Lot Shuttle or hotel shuttles should walk across street from baggage claim. Please follow signage and security.
  • AVOID POSSIBLE DELAYS - Those parked in the north parking garage, short term parking, or long term parking, may wish to utilize the crosswalk near the terminal’s ticketing entrance and walk around the construction site to access their parking areas. Security personnel will be onsite to assist those who wish to use this option during terminal walkway closures.
