A book-lined sanctuary that celebrates the rich history of the literary arts in New York, the Mario & Matilda Cuomo Pavilion opened in 2020. The 800 square-foot, glass enclosed lounge on the first floor of the terminal highlights many of the 2,000 writers who have appeared at the New York State Writers Institute since its founding by Albany’s William Kennedy in 1984.
The Pavilion is named in recognition of former New York state governor Mario Cuomo and his wife Matilda Cuomo’s support for literary arts.
